FULL TIME TEAM LEADER POSITION - SUPPORTED LIVING*

Together, we help individuals live the life they choose!

Avicenna Supported Living is a specialist care and support provider for young adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex health needs. We are dedicated to delivering truly personalised care, helping individuals develop independence and improve their quality of life holistically.

Our mission is to empower service users by focusing on their strengths, abilities, and aspirations. We create tailored support plans that promote self-reliance, confidence, and community integration. Whether it's learning new skills, managing daily activities, or accessing leisure and volunteer opportunities, we provide the right support to make independent living possible.

Our Approach:
  • Person-Centered Care – Support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Independence-Focused – Encouraging self-care and life skills.
  • Community Engagement – Helping service users participate in activities and social opportunities.
  • Holistic Well-Being – Addressing mental, emotional, and physical health need.

As a Team Leader, you would be primarily responsible for delivering direct, hands-on, person-centred support to individuals living in supported living services.

The post holder will spend the majority of their working time providing the same high-quality care and support expected of a Support Worker, whilst acting as a positive role model for colleagues.

Alongside their direct support duties, the Team Leader will undertake a limited number of additional responsibilities, including coaching colleagues, completing quality assurance checks, contributing to staff supervision, inducting new staff and supporting the Home Manager in maintaining high standards of care.

The Team Leader is not a managerial role and remains an operational, front-line position focused on delivering excellent support to the people we support.

Do you feel this is the role for you?

The successful candidate will be an experienced Support Worker who demonstrates excellent person-centred practice and is able to support, coach and guide colleagues whilst continuing to provide high-quality direct support. The role is intended to enhance the quality of front-line care through leadership by example rather than through managerial responsibility.
At Avicenna Supported Living, we value a collaborative, friendly, and diverse work environment where every team member is encouraged to grow and develop professionally.
